Abstract		In the article, the author describes the importance of nursing care for people after the loss of a spouse and illustrates it with an example. The grieving are too often left on their own which presents the greatest problem in cases of old people. Stressed is the important role of community nurses and general practitioners.
Summary		V članku avtor s pomočjo opisa žalovanja vdovca osvetljuje pomen zdravstvene nege pri ljudeh, ki izgubijo svojca. Pogosto so žalujoči prepuščeni sami sebi, kar je najbolj pereče pri starejših ljudeh. Poudarjena je pomembna vloga patronažnih medicinskih sester in splošnih zdravnikov.
