Abstract     Endodontic treatment of an oversized periapical process is described in four patients. A combination of several endodontic drugs, including ledermix, asphalin and fokalmin, was employed. The root canals were irrigated with sterile saline solution. The average duration of treatment was two years. Follow-up radiographs were made after five years. Successful endodontic treatment may result in complete elimination of the process or reduction of its size, making subsequent surgical therapy possible.
