Abstrakt		At the 100th anniversary of Prof. Dr. Jože Rant's birthday, the author describes Dr. Rant's contribution to the establishment and development of the Clinic of Stomatology and the Intermediate Dental School in Ljubljana. He points out that the establishment of the clinic paved the way to the reorganization of dentistry in Slovenia to a specific dentistry. At the same time he shows Dr. Jože Rant as the initiator and lecture of the study of dentistry in Slovenia. For all those merits his colleges and contemporaries named him "The father of dentistry in Slovenia."
