Abstrakt     Notifications on physical injuries, in Slovenia these have been the JV/PROM-25 forms for the past few years, have aroused discontent and dismissal from medical staff. Physicians regarded these "certificates" as expert opinions, since after the description of injuries and a diagnosis in Slovene and in Latin, the form requested a Slovene classification of physical injuries in accordance with the Criminal Code of Slovenia, and at the end an opinion as to whether it is a minor or major injury or the trace of an injury. The latter classification does not exist according to the Law on Criminal Procedure and the Criminal Code of the Republic of Slovenia. The opinion of the Institute of Forensic Medicine is that this document goes well beyond the duty of health care as a public service to report injuries.
