Abstrakt     This is a presentation of the development of a unified form for Slovenia since its beginnings, which data back to 1947. In order to present the value of completed forms ordering a medical examination and the taking of blood and urine samples for alcohol testing, a percentage evaluation of completed columns evaluating the level of alcohol intoxication of the subject by the institution was made by statistical processing. The processing included orderds for medical examinations and taking of blood and urine samples for alcohol testing from the whole of Slovenia for the years 1985 and 1994. Police officers assessed an intoxication rate in 40.55%, health care centres and hospitals in 37.45%, the Institute of Forensic Medicine in 100% of all cases. The accordance of assessments of the rate of intoxication by the institution with laboratory alcoholometric examinations was 41.54% for the police, 49.06% for health care centres and hospitals, and 53.84% for the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The mean value of fine pendular nystagmus was 8 seconds for a sober examinee, 10 seconds for a slightly intoxicated examinee, 12 seconds for an intoxicated examinee, and 16 seconds for a highly intoxicated examinee. The mean value of heavy pendular nystagmus was 6 seconds for a sober examinee, 12 seconds for a slightly intoxicated examinee, 15 seconds for an intoxicated examinee, and 20 seconds for a highly intoxicated examinee. The results of the duration of the nystagmus can not be used to assess the rate of intoxication of examinees, because these data overlap due to the small number of completed columns on the duration of the nystagmus.
