Abstrakt | Teamwork at present plays an important part in any successful, well organised system of activities. It is indispensable for the management and operation of certain services, health care definitely being one of them. The principal requisites of successful teamwork are motivation, organisation, leadership, information, communication, supervision, quality control and adherence to professional standards. All team members must be familiar with the basic concepts of teamwork, the main objective pursued by the team and ways in which it can be achieved, the allocation of responsibilities within the group, and personal qualities that make a model team leader and a good team member. For a team to be successful and productive, its members must be able to cope with negative responses and deal promptly with problems as they arise, set new goals for the team and contribute to their achievement. Motivation is the key factor that unifies a team and determines its success. | |
