Abstrakt		Patiens with neuromuscular disorders experience basides the weakening of other skeletal muscles also the weakening of the respiratory muscles. Their weakening, together with mechanical changes in the thorax, brings as a consequence an insufficiency in the patient breathing, and an ineffective coughing with frequent respiratory tract infections, which can lead into respiratory failure. The contribution gives manners of management, it also defines the role of respiratory exercises, and shows the ways of cleaning the respiratory passages. Finally, it presents the ways of assisted ventilation.
