Abstract | Sunligt and artificial-UV ray sources may cause different manifestations on the skin, mostly in form of inflammation and pigmentation. Biological and biochemical tests may be helpful in determining whether the disorders are of phototoxical or phototoxical nature. People come into contact with a variety of substances of organic and inorganic origin in their everyday life. Beside the direct contact of skin with some substances, photodermatitis can be caused indirectly by ingesting drugs. In order to diminish and prevent these manifestations, diagnostics and adequate preventive measures are necessary. | |
