Abstract		The aim of the study was to evaluate the development of renal scarring, vesicoureteric reflux (VUR) and kidney growth in asymptomatic children with VUR during 3 - 7 years. The results of the study indicate that routine screening for VUR of asymptomatic siblings of children with VUR and other asymptomatic populations at risk is recommended, since high grade sterile VUR seems to be an important factor in development of renal scarring.
