Abstrakt     Background. The aim of the study was to evaluate to what extent the method of impedance pletizmography is adequate for the registration of transitional states of the cardiovascular system when a physiologic stimulus destroys the balance within the system. Methods. In 8 volunteers cardiac output (CO), heart rate (HR) and stroke volume (SV) was measured continuously for 9 min, by the method of impedance pletizmography - 5 min. lying down, 2 min. sitting and 2 min. standing. The transition from the lying to the sitting position and from the sitting to the standing position was registered continuously. Results. On the average, the transition from the lying to the sitting position causes a 26% decrease in CO (P<0.001), the HR increaces by 10% (P<0.001) and the SV decreases by 32% (P<0.001). In the transition from the sitting to the standing position CO remains unchanged, the HR increases by 13% (P = 0.008) and the SV decreases by 7% (P<0.001). Conclusions. Impedance pletizmography is a suitable method for continuous registration of transitional states of the cardiovascular system.
8 prostovoljcem smo 9 minut neprekinjeno merili minutni volumen srca (MV), frekvenco srca (FR) in utripni volumen srca (UV) z metodo impedančne pletizmografije, in sicer 5 minut leže, 2 minuti sede in 2 minuti stoje. Prehod iz ležečega položaja v sedeči in iz sedečega v stoječi smo zapisovali neprekinjeno. Rezultati.
