Abstrakt     During the recent years have been studied the main weather types and synoptic situations, that have significant influence on human health into the Cuban population, considered as representative for the tropical climate. It has been pointed out the important role of the heat balance of the human body as fundament for the physiological interpretation of weather actions on human health, but at the same time, it has been considered the effects of other biometeorological parameters, such as the oxygen content of the air, in order biometereological parameters, such as the oxygen content of the air, in order to represent these impacts of the weather conditions acting together or simultaneously in a coplex way. The combination of these results in an operational system would permit the use of short range weather forecasts as input for the development of a regional Health Watch & Warning System. The first results are available for the geographical region of North America and the Caribbean (WMO Region IV) as a pilot or demonstrative study. The paper content includes the methodoological basis, the characteristics of the data support and the final output for the medical institutions and the general public. The system is supported on PC standards and GIS applications.
