Abstract     Mycophenolate mofetil (MMF) is a promising new immunosuppressive drug, that has been shown to be effective in a variety of clinical trials. MMF in a reversible inhibitor of the proliferation of T and B lymphocytes. There is little data on the use of MMF as maintenance immunosupression with cyclosporine and prednisone in pediatric renal transplant patients. Therefore, some large adult studies are reviewed. Finally, our own experience on a relatively small number of children are mentioned.
