Abstract		The authors describe methods used for appraising the effects of physiotherapy of ophtalmology. Assessment of patients condition with use of suitable diagnostic procedures before the start of tratment enables the therapist to select appropriate therapeutic measures. Thorough analysis of all aczuired data makes it possible to define specific goals for each patient. Careful monitoring of the effects of treatment with the use of objective measurements and photographs is essential for accurate appraisal of the final outcome. Continuous evaluation of the results of treatment speeds up the rehabilitation proces and improves its outcome. By providing Quality treatment, the physiotherapist contributes to a growing recognition of the profession.
