Abstract		The article presents one of the most frequent disease endangering female population today. Types, stages and treatments of the disease are introduced in detail. The importance of self-examination and early detection of the disease are stressed. mentioned are the most frequent treatments and post-operative physiotherapy carried out at the Institute of Oncology in Ljubljana.
