Abstrakt		In Slovenia it took quite a long time until we started with the implantation of the Cohlear implant. We formed our opinions by taking part at international conferences. Not having enough knowledge and experience we frst doubted into the effiency of the implant which still holds good for some of our collegues and the society as a whole. Now we can say for some deaf children (who have the medical indication and the opportunity) the reallity and the future seems to be optimistic. For me as a therapist it is very interesting and challenging to be working with children who have been inplanted. After two years experience it is really wonderful to see the child to react to sound. My report is decribing four items, very important from my point of view as a therapist: 1. the characteristics of my patients; 2. preparing for fitting (how to get the child's avare respond to sound); 3. the conception of the rehabilitation with some details in the individual work; 4. the parents, my close assistants.
