Abstract		Cochlear implant is a device that ef fiently helps deaf people. Like with all technical expedients, mechanical breakdown can emerge and kohlear implant stops working. In spite of protection, outer factors can damage a device. Beside of a choice of right candidate, surgical intervention, precise tunin of speech processor and intensive rehabilitation process, good care for expedient is very important. Reasons for breakdown of certain parts of implant are known from our patients experiences and literature. Perfect functioning of kohlear implant is necessary for successful rehabilitation, which is why a therapist must recognise those machanical breakdowns.
