Abstract		Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib) is the most frequent causative agent of invasive bacterial disease in children under 5 years of age in Slovenia. During 1993-1995, two children died from meningitis, the most common form of invasive Hib disease. Effective vaccines against Hib are available. Since the price of Hib vaccines is relatively high, pharmacoeconomic analyses were carried out in the majority of developed countries before their widespread use. A review of the methods used in the analyses and their resuts are presented herein.
Summary		Haemophilus influenzae tip b (Hib) je najpogostejši povzročitelj invazivnih okužb pri otrocih, mlajših od 5 let v Sloveniji. Najpogostejša oblika okužbe s Hib je meningitis, zaradi katerega sta v obdobju 1993-1995 umrla dva otroka. Cepljenje je zelo učinkovit način zaščite pred okužbami s Hib, ker pa je cepivo relativno drago, je bila v večini razvitih držav, kjer je bilo cepljenje že uvedeno, pred uvedbo opravljena fermakoekonomska analiza. Predstavljena je metodologija in ugotovitve teh analiz.
