Abstrakt		In the contribution, the answers of 673 school children, (the 5 th and the 8 th class of primary school), inhabitants of Domžale community who cooperate in the inquiry concerning knowledge, attitudes and acting, linked with the prevention of traffic accidents are presented. The inquiry was carried out in the complex of 1 st phase of the Programme for accident prevention in road traffic in Domžale community. Programme is educational and oriented to all the traffic participants (children, drivers, pedestrians, traffic policemen). The main goals of the programme are decreasing of number of road traffic accidents in the Domžale community and the conceptualising the model for injury prevention in road traffic, which could be used also in other Slovenian communities. The knowledge of attitudes, acting and knowing of school children will be used for forming of preventive programme, intended for school children.
