Abstract     A probation period gives an opportunity not only for professional education of a high school graduate but also for his/her development as a human being. The key person in guiding the probationer from the theory to practice and in connecting a probationer with patients, colleagues and working organization as well is a mentor. With educational model perception - decision - execution both practical study of physiotherapy and probation period might be better organized and therefore more effective. A probationer should be assessed descriptevely by a mentor.
