Abstract		The article deals with technical aids and technological solutions for older persons. Most of them are simple technical aids which help older persons remain independent in activities of daily living. The technical solutions mentioned and described enable older persons with a moving handicap remain in social contact with their acquaintances, friends and surroundings. On the other hand technical solutions assure security and proper control of older persons thus enabling them to remain living alone in their apartments.
