Abstrakt     Apart from the decision as to whether to start resuscitation at all and when to abandon the resuscitation process once it has begun, there are a number of other ethical matters which require consideration in this field. These matters include: the diagnosis of death by non-physicians, the ethics of using the recently dead to practice skills or to undertake research studies, permitting relatives to watch resuscitation, the care of the bereaved, the teaching of resuscitation to relatives, the management of grief and post traumatic stress.
