Abstrakt		The aim of the study was to determine the typical eruption patters of the permanent dentition in Slovene children. For each tooth, the beginning, the median time and the end of eruption were determined, and the variability range was calculated. From these data, eruption charts were prepared for the upper and lower dental arches of girls and boys. By consulting the charts it is easy to determine if a child's teeth are erupting appropriately for his or her age. A tooth may fail to erupt for various reasons, the most common being lack of space and a displaced, injured or aplastic tooth bud. Patients who fall below the fifth percentile have dental panoramic radiographs taken to determine why their teeth are not erupting properly.
