Abstract		One of tlie main task of veterinary inspection is the control over environmental contaminants and veterinary drug residues in food of animal origin. The monitoring and surveillance over the residues of pesticides, PCB, metals, veterinary drugs and hormones in food of animal origin in Slovenia and the monitoring results are presented.
