Abstract		The cooperation between the transfusiologist and clinicians in the treatment of patients with haemorrhagic disorders is very important. By early and succesful substitution therapy, the transfusiologist-haemostasiologist saves blood. The development of haemostasiology at the Department of transfusiology and immunohaematology is presented. Through haemostasiology it is possible to perform good transfusion clinical practice, prevention and treatment of thromboembolism. It is necessary to educate the transfusiologist in haemostasiology.
