Abstrakt		Our study was aimed to show whether reorganising of ophthalmological service influenced the reasons for hospital admisson on the Department of Ophthalmology, General Hospital of Maribor. The study included all patients admitted to our department in the years 1993 and 1997 regardless of the diagnosis, sex and duration of the hospitalisation. According to the first diagnosis we chose fifteen most frequent diseases and made statistical analysis. The results of our study confirmed considerable differences in the reasons for hospital admission between those two years.
