Abstrakt		According to Lynn Marguliss symbiogenetic theory, 1.7 bilion years ago bacteria joined the life cycle: the first eucaryotes, the protista, creating conditions necessary for the development of multicellular plants and animals. Symbiogenesis had opened the door to new ecologic possibilities to unicellular organisms and their successors, fungi and trees, and other symbioses between microbes and animals had created new ecological possibilities to colonizem new environments.
