Abstract     A case of a 56-year-old man with recurrent glioblastoma is presented. Histologic examination of the recurrent tumor revealed a glioblastoma, which had a focal mesenchymal component and a single, sharply demarcated pihelial-like area. Tumor cells in the epithelial al-ea were of medium size and had eosinophilic cytoplasm with poorly delineated borders. The nuclei were oval and vesicular with moderate variation in size and shape, and occasional prominent nucleoli. Some mitotic figures were also found. In some parts of this area, cells were arranged in, papillary-like structures with a fibrovascular core. Differential diagnosis of metastatic carcinoma into glioblastoma was considered. Immunohistochemical study was undertaken to analyze different components of the tumor. According to the results of immunohistochemical reactions, follow-up of the patient, and literature search, the tumor was diagnosed as a glioblastoma with epithelial and mesenchymal differentiation.
