Abstract		With this contribution I wish to inform the reader on different techniques of lifting and moving wheelchair-bound persons. The aim of the contribution as that the helper would assist ailing person in the most efficient and safe way. The helper must perform the service correctly, so as not to jeopardise his own health. Movements must be sensible, effective and decisive, employing physical principles of levers and distribution of forces to the key points.
