Abstrakt     The process of business transformation must be looked upon as a continuous repetition of cycles from the foundation of the campany until ceases to exist. The creation of an environment receptive to change is especially difficult in a public institution, where the absence of competition, lack of strategic planning and normative arganization create barriers that are diffcult to avercome. The aim of this paper is to examine the levers of business transformation and to expose the posible changes. The new way of work is not the only result of the transformation process. There should be also changes in the organizational structure, management and measurement system, values and beliefs of all stakeholders partipating in the new processes.
Izvleček     Proces prenove poslovanja je potrebno razumeti kot nenehno ponavljanje posameznih ciklov od ustanovitve pa do prenehanja obstoja, poslovnega sistema. Vzpostavitev primernega okolja, ki bo podpiralo uvajanje sprememb, je še posebej težavno v javnih zavodih, kjer predstavljajo normativna organiziranost, odsotnost konkurence in pomanjkljivo strateško načrtovanje razvoja pomembne ovire. Namen prispevka je proučitev vzvodav za prenovo poslovanja in predstavitev pričakovanih sprememb. Prenovljen način dela ni edini rezultat procesa prenove. Spremembe so navadno potrebne tudi v organizacijski strukturi; načinu upravljanja, merjenja učinkov ter ablikovanja vrednot in prepričanj vseh udeležencev v prenovljenih procesih.
