Abstract		This contribution is a summary of a study on clients' life before and after cerebrovascular accident. The results obtained from interviewing 25 individuals who have suffered cerebrovascular accident show differences between people, their interests and living environments. The importance of knowing a client, his problems and wishes at planning treatment in occupational therapy at his home is dealt with in the second part. The purpose of this research task was to learn as much as possible about clients' life, which will be most useful at planning individual goals and improving the quality of their lives.
