Abstract		In the past year, Ambulance Service, University Medical Center Ljubljana, set out to optimize services provided by the Dispatch Center with the aim of reducing the average response time. Improved technology and changes in the organization and structure of the Dispatch Center have yielded encouraging results. The most important achievement was the setting up of a system for measuring various parameters of dispatching services. It showed that international (ISO) standards of emergency response times have been reached.
