Abstract | In investigation of road accidents with casualities we often deal with hit and runs that present a lot of additional and hard work for the investigators in finding the perpetrator. The task requires a team of experts from different fields, among them experts in forensic haemogenetics. Biological traces on the perpetrator's vehicle may be the key to successful conclusion of an investigation. The authors of the paper try to show the importance and use of DNA research in the cases where biological traces of human origin can be found on motor vehicles after a hit and run. | |
