Abstrakt		In her paper the author sets out to present some new trends in the field of non-property damage and present legal practice in the Republic of Slovenia in the field of road accidents. She touches on the issue of physical and mental pain showing differences according to sex, age and reduced vital activities. She gives an example of the amount of a compensation for a sprain of the neck part of the spine considering all categories: physical pain, fear and mental pain due to reduced vital activities. The presentation is illustrated by concrete examples.
