Abstrakt     Between 1979 and 1988 31,067 prime isolates of unadapted salmonellae in humans were determined and classified into 122 different serovars. In poultry, 936 strains belonging to 44 serovars were identified, and in feedstuffs 539 strains were classified into 67 different serovars. The ten most prevalent serovars isolated from each group i.e. humans, poultry and feedstuffs, were taken into account. Their frequencies and associations were evaluated by rank analyses, the Friedman test and Spearman's rank correlation test. The predominant route is bilateral transmission between man and poultry and not from feedstuffs to poultry and man. The experience gained during the past few years has shown that a strict and continuous control must even be intensified, during animal breeding, at slaughter and in the handling of meat.
Izvleček     V letih od 1979 do 1988 smo pri ljudeh izolirali 31067 sevov salmonel, ki smo jih uvrstili v 122 različnih serovarov. Pri perutnini je bilo v enakem obdobju ugotovljenih 936 sevov salmonel, ki so pripadali 44 serovarom, v krmilih pa 539 sevov salmonel, ki so bili uvrščeni v 67 različnih serovarov. Upoštevali smo deset najpogostejših serovarov, posebej pri človeku, perutnini in v krmi. Pogostnost in povezave smo ocenili na osnovi razlik med rangi, s Friedmanovim testom in na osnovi Spearmanove korelacije rangov. Glavna pot okužbe poteka kot bilateralen prenos med človekom in perutnino in ne od krme preko perutnine na človeka. Izkušnje, ki smo jih pridobili v zadnjih nekaj letih, so nam pokazale, da je nujno povečati natančen in neprekinjen nadzor v reji živali, ob zakolu in pri obdelavi mesa.
