Abstract		Legionellae, causing Legionnaires disease and Pontiac fever may be found in natural water sources, pipeline water, water of cooling towers and also in climatisation and air handling systems. Recognising the sources of legionella, degree of risk and the procedures for risk reduction are in close relation concerning the operation, maintenanance and control of all potential sources of legionella.
