Abstrakt		Background. The authors analysed the response time of emergency medical services in Jesenice. The results of multivariable analysis showed the response time is independently predicted by the distance from the event, occurrence of another event at the same time, winter months and the type of the event reported. Conclusions. The distance from the event should be recorded as part of the routine data collection process, if the response time is to be used as an indicator of quality of emergency services. To ensure adequate response time the emergency medical services should be located closely to the sites where such events can occur.
Izvleček		Izhodišča. Prispevek analizira odzivni čas službe nujne medicinske pomoči ZD Jesenice. Multivariatna analiza kaže, da je odzivni čas odvisen od oddaljenosti dogodka, prisotnosti vzporednih primerov, letnega časa in vzroka dogodka, zaradi katerega je aktivirana ekipa nujne medicinske pomoči. Zaključki. Pri uporabi odzivnega časa kot merila pri ocenjevanju kakovosti dela službe nujne medicinske pomoči je zato nujno evidentirati tudi oddaljenost, ker bistveno vpliva na odzivni čas. Da bi zagotovili ustrezen odzivni čas, je velikega pomena obdržati razmestitev služb nujne medicinske pomoči, ki niso prostorsko pretirano oddaljene od krajev, kjer je pričakovati nujne dogodke.
