Abstrakt     By using recombinant DNA technology, some useful methods for generating GM organisms were developed. Gene manipulation is predominantly used in food, pharmaceutical, medicinal and environmental purposes. In some countries, the GM food is already on the market. On the other hand, many different transgenic plant species are created in order to manufacture the functional food, serve as a base for the nutraceuticals.
