Abstract		The most important segment of nurse's work in outpatients' department for diabetes in Ptuj General Hospital is health education of patients with diabetes, without which the nurses could not imagine their work in educating patients. The article in research presents diet habits of diabetes patients in the area of Ptuj and Ormož. It also shows a reasonable amount of perception and accomplishment of patients with diabetes.
Summary		Prispevek prikazuje najpomembnejše delo medicinske sestre v ambulanti za bolnike s sladkorno boleznijo v Splošni bolnišnici Ptuj, to je zdravstvena vzgoja, brez katere si medicinske sestre ne znamo predstavljati svojega dela pri izobraževanju bolnikov s sladkomo boleznijo. Prispevek prikazuje prehrambene navade bolnikov s sladkorno boleznijo na področju Ptuja in Ormoža. Prikazana je dobra osveščenost in izobraženost bolnikov s sladkorno boleznijo.
