Abstrakt		Retrograde intramedullary nail has been incresingly used as a biological method for fixation of the middle and distal part of femor fractures. This metod can be used aiso for fixation of simple intraarticular fractures of the distal part of femor. Locking screws prevent rotational deformities and deformities in bone lenght. Intramedullary nail gives an excellent angle stability. The procedure for nail placement is relatively simple and rapid. In compari- son to other methods earlier weight-bearing and faster fracture healing could be achieved.
