Abstrakt		Adolescents and even children do commit suicide. In a meeting in 1910, that took place in S. Freud's home, David Ernest Oppenheim outlined a collaborative community response to set up protective schools. This paper presents some protective factors proposed then and now for comprehensive prevention, intervention and postvention programs in schools/communities.
