Abstract		During the Biology Students Research Camp Videm pri Ptuju 2002, the area of Haloze was mainly explored. 63 localities were visited and 82 species recorded, bringing the total of all known Haloze species to 89. The abundance of seminatural dry and wet grasslands has enabled survival of some rare and endangered species in the area. Espedally important is the wide distribution of Maculinea arion and the presence of Maculinea telejus and Maculinea nausithous in the central and western parts of Haloze. Everes deco%ratus was another pleasant surprise from that interesting part of Slovenia.
