Abstract		Lymphoedema, after radical mastectomy is one of the forms of secondary lymphoedema. The origin of it cannot be removed, and every woman patient needs an explanation, that this state is chronic. This state cannot be prevented or eliminated, but it can be reduced with certain measures. The programme of physical therapy twice a year is therefore advised to a patient.
