Abstrakt		The law on health care and health insurance and the regulations on compulsory health insurance determine the rights of insured persons to medical rehabilitation and regulate the implementation of these rights. It is a personal physician or a physician authorised by him that refers the patient to physical therapy, spa treatment or rehabilitation. The medical boards of The Institute of Health Insurance of Slovenia then determine whether the claim to medical rehabilitation is justified. Medical rehabilitation is implemented according to the general and specific agreements between the Institute and the providers. The specific agreements determine the standards of medical rehabilitation implementation.
