Abstrakt     The results of the research into the quality of life in older persons following TBI are presented. 65 patients, older than 55 years at the time of the injury (from 55-75 years, average age 63.15 years), included in complex rehabilitation treatment at the Rehabilitation Institute ofLjubljana, Slovenia during a 10-years period (1989-1999) were submitted to investigation. The rehabilitation outcome was assessed by means of GOS, while the patients, with the aid of the WHOQOL - BREF self-reported questionnaire, described their quality of life and the influence of the consequences of the injury on it Analyses of correlations between individual consequences of the injury and the overall functioning were made. Subjective perception of the consequences is reported also in the lightofrelations within the familyand the social environment. Review of the available social and health-care resources is presented.
