Abstrakt		Subtalar arthrodesis is considered to be the last resort in a sanation of a painful, deformed foot with functional disability. Surgery shall include only those joints that cause deformity and pain. Higher degree deformation requires triplearthrodesis. Correction is a demanding process that has to be based on a good pre-operative assessment of deformity, whole some correction of interosseus relations hip and stable fixation of arthrodesed segments. Sanation requires time and lasts on average for 3 - 4 months. Process is repeatable and according to various authors, gives good results in excess of 70 percent.
