Abstract     The work done is the calibration with high precision of a system made up of a video camera and a laser beam light. This is used in precision metrology, determination of objects and positioning of a mobile robot. In the system, it is assumed that the camera can be equipped with lenses of short focal length, in order to obtain a great field of view in short distances. The points taken into account are: joint laser diode and camera calibration (laser generating the strnctured light), determination of the points of the beam in the space and the intrinsic parameters of thc joint system, which constitute the sensor calibration.
