Abstract     The main purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between the verbal and nonverbal manifestations in the speech of stuttering children and adolescents. The Methods: The verbal and nonverbal manifestations in 28 children of preschool age, 129 pupils of elementary schools, and 19 adolescents were analyzed with Riley test. The results: By the factor analysis of stuttering severity variables, the six manifest variables were retained. The correlation analysis revealed that variables accessory features highly correlated. The correlation coefficients ranged from 0.335 to 0.647. The correlation between the variables stuttering incidence and blockages duration was statistically significant (0.581). Conclusion: The verbal and nonverbal manifestations of stuttering children and adolescents correlated significantly with each other, and they contribute the degree of stuttering severity.
