Abstract     This research presents the examination of naming ability in people with aphasia and determining error category along with checking how frequently appear the errors on the same tasks, which are conected to matching a pronounced and a written word with the picture. One of the aims was to compare the results obtained from the examination of naming ability with black and white drawings as well as with coloured drawings, and to determine the influence of colour in processes of recalling which happen are the results of naming in people with aphasia. The examinees were 16 people with aphasic impairments, eight women and eight men who were 32 to 60 years old. Assumption that there was a difference in conecting the pronounce and the written word with picture among different types of aphasia is not confirmed. The results have not shown the systematization of errors on the same exercises. The errors which appeared in both subtests were present at most participants regardless of the localization of damage and the type of aphasia.
