Abstrakt		During the last decades the field of specific reading disabilities or dyslexia experienced important developments in the areas of research, theoretical explanations and practical treatment orientations. Research focused on several different dimensions: biological, cognitive, social, educational, and others. The aim of the paperis to present some key problems of current dyslexia research and treatment as well as implications for improving current educational practice.
