Abstract		The article reviews neurological disability scales in patients with multiple sclerosis. Among these scales, the EDSS (Expanded Disability Status Scale) is the most widely used. The FIM (Functional Independence Measure) and the E81(Extended Barthel Index) are also used. The Guy's Neurological Disability Scale - GNDS is a recently developed scale. It covers a large field of disabilities and is not focused mainly on mobility. The article presents a comparison between the assessment of disabilities with EDSS and FIM.
